Rajesh is an insurance agent, financial planner and the author of “The Money Talk – Retirement & Estate Planning for Indian Americans” which is available in hard cover, audio and e-book on amazon and other online retailers.
His firm, Shalin Financial Services, Inc., named after his oldest Shalin, which means modest or humble, was established in 1995.
For over 25 years, he has assisted thousands of individuals and business owners for their insurance, investments, financial planning and employee benefits needs.
Rajesh was also the President/CEO of Khabar magazine, one of the leading print magazines in Georgia and surrounding areas. Khabar was also co-founded in 1992 by Rajesh and his business partners Parthiv Parekh and Mehul Parekh.
Rajesh sold his shares of Khabar magazine to his business partners in 2013 but has been the host of the Moneywise section in the magazine since its inception.
As a lifelong learner, he has listened to over 1000 non-fiction books on various subjects including business, motivation, spirituality and what makes us tick. He has been thru the certified estate planner program, master certified estate planner, certified senior advisor, certified in long term care as well as the financial planner program at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. He currently does not hold any of the designations mentioned above for personal reasons. Ask him why if you ever get a chance to talk to him.
In addition to his financial services practice and the magazine he used to publish, he is also a singer/songwriter. One of his bucket list goals was to record some of his favorite songs he had written through the years and a few years ago, he finally got the opportunity to make that dream come true.
He recorded a CD of his own songs that he has written over the years called “Carpe Diem” which means to seize the day in Latin. Carpe Diem is available on itunes, amazon and many other online retailers. Carpe Diem is in the pop/rock 80s style genre with a motivational and inspirational feel.
